I've just ordered a new bit - double jointed boucher. When I went for a hack up the road last night, I was "schooling" to the extent of making sure I was keeping the contact as close to the same as I could for the whole ride, and riding with a whip under my thumb... even at the walk, he was reefing on the bit a bit to much for my liking. I checked his lips out after the ride, and there is some rubbing/pinching - but if I drop his bit lower he starts flipping his tounge over it... I'm hoping that this boucher will hold steadier in his mouth and I can drop it a hole without him flicking the tounge over...
He also wasnt stiff or sore at all from the weekend, which was good.
