The current thing is that A) i'm not riding due to surgery b) he is a prat
So the goals are to get him out and about at some small show jumping shows, get him in a first level dressage test - and if he is clever to do his first couple of ODE's in Feb/March.
Right now he is being schooled in the arena by a close friend, working on forward, responsiveness primarily. Building strength, straightness and confidence jumping. Consistant transistions is the secondary goal - but that will come with responsiveness...
I'm off crutches, so I also have the goal to take him to a inhand show on the 3 November, and teach him to do work in hand... that will be the biggest challenge he is a easier horse to ride than to handle on the ground.

So update from this week, he has been coming through and more forward (YAY), and has actually started moments of holding himself (and he looked supurb!) So just to show the changes in him recently to start with this is a photo from about 2 months ago:
